Legal & CITES information

Selling and keeping snakes in Denmark — what you should know.

This page is general information, not legal advice. Rules change — always confirm current requirements with the Danish authorities before buying or selling.

Captive-bred & documented

All animals from TheBoldPhythons are captive-bred. Where a species is listed under CITES, we provide the required documentation proving legal origin.

CITES in short

CITES regulates international trade in protected species. Some snakes (for example many pythons) are CITES-listed and require paperwork proving legal captive-bred origin. Non-listed species such as corn snakes generally do not require CITES documents.

Danish keeping rules

Denmark restricts certain dangerous and venomous species. The snakes we offer are non-venomous species that are legal to keep as pets. If you're unsure whether a species is permitted, ask us first.
